Devin Blasius, the designer of the new LinkTech brand, walks us through some of the changes and the decisions driving the design process. 

 

Why the Rebrand?

"We wanted to stand out from your typical IT service with a focus on being welcoming and seen as a brand that people trust," Devin explains.

With the rebrand, Devin set out to create a brand that stands apart—a service that feels warm, personable, and inspiring. To achieve this, he built the rebranding around three core pillars

  • Approachability – Breaking down the barriers of complex tech, making IT feel accessible to everyone. 
  • Personable – Putting a human face to technology with a friendly and relatable touch. 
  • Expertise – Providing the depth of knowledge and authority you expect but with a fresh and less "robotic" feel. 

"With these principles in mind," Devin continues, "my goal was to position LinkTech as a warm, trustworthy brand, in contrast to the cold, uninspired mechanical aesthetics often associated with modern IT companies."

This rebranding is more than a new look; it’s a fresh perspective, one that focuses on simplifying your IT experience.

 

What's New?

Our rebrand comes with key design changes that are bold, nostalgic, and strikingly different from traditional IT aesthetics. 

Retro-Inspired Aesthetic

"I began the rebranding process by establishing the brand's color palette," Devin says. "Drawing inspiration from nostalgia and warmth, I curated a palette that evoked a sense of familiarity and trust."

Color

"From there, I meticulously explored hundreds of fonts, searching for one that truly embodied LinkTech. The ideal typeface needed to feature bold, structured lines while maintaining a sense of balance within each individual letter."

Old_Vs_New

"The logo underwent multiple iterations as we aimed for a bold, geometric design where the letterforms seamlessly connected, creating symmetry and visual harmony," Devin remarks. "I started with a few sketches but, as always, I preferred to dive straight into Illustrator to refine and bring the concept to life. Here’s a look at that process."

From the revamped logo to our updated website, these visual updates make LinkTech more distinct and instantly recognizable in an industry overcrowded with uninspiring, mechanical designs.
